JFM Acquires XRitePantone’s Newest Technology

Moore Communications in conjunction with Pazazz Printing of Montreal is pleased to announce they have agreed to acquire XRites (Grand Rapids, Michigan) newest technology platform (using Spectrophotometry) for colour management and measurement. The technology was presented under NDA to the International Printers Network (IPN Global www.ipnglobal.com) conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Members were shown how the new technology will reduce make ready times and paper set up waste, as well as provide correct spectral information resulting in faster time to colour.  www.xrite.com 

Both Pazazz and J.F. Moore are G7 certified printers and have invested in G7 Master Printer processes to improve colour integrity for brands across all of their print and output platforms making them recognized leaders in the Canadian industry.  They became the first two companies inNorth Americato acquire the technology which will enhance their position and deliver value to their customers. 

The XRite technology will be shown at Drupa and will be released to the Graphic Arts community in the near future.  At this point, no product details can be disclosed due to the secrecy of the product launch.  What can be said at this time is the new platform does much more to improve colour communication in a graphics arts supply chain than just measure test surfaces more accurately. Press personnel can learn how to use the new instruments with a minimum training, thanks to the intuitive software and touch screen controls that guides users through the menus. The platform comes with embedded X-Rite Graphic Arts Standard (XRGA) that greatly simplifies data agreement with other instruments and the CxF standard for easy data exchange. 

In March of 2009 – J.F.
